We have been extremely satisfied with the work done by Unique Outdoors, which has involved two major landscaping projects, firstly our backyard (April 2018) and then most recently our front courtyard (April 2019). As a consequence of our engagement with Unique Outdoors, we have two beautifully renovated outdoor living spaces where we now spend a lot of our leisure time.

Tom Husband is a very thorough and organised project manager. We were impressed with his detailed (and timely) quotes, listing specific stages and items required in the projects. Tom has always been prepared to discuss these quotes further, tweak where necessary according to our needs, wishes and budget, he is readily available to answer any questions and do further onsite visits to make sure all the issues have been discussed and sorted prior to the work starting.

Tom’s communication is excellent, and he anticipates what the next stages are and communicates these in good time, so that other contractors (electrician/neighbours/automatic gate installer) know exactly when to be onsite or do deliveries etc., and this has also been useful for us as a family so that we can organise ourselves and the dog etc.

We always appreciated Tom’s advice about design or materials, but at the same time, he has always been prepared to listen to and accommodate our needs and vision for our garden. We have also very much appreciated and valued Tom’s skills as a problem solver; his attention to detail and thoroughness has been evident in all the work he has done for us. His repertoire of skills is very impressive– rebuilding sandstone walls, concrete pours, retaining walls, building steps, laying tiles/pavers, preparing for electrical fitouts (laying conduit), pool fencing, screening, pool coping, building raised garden beds, mulching, planting, laying turf. Nothing seems to be too difficult for Tom – he has also done some more fiddly work for us including installing a water feature and fixing up some difficult and messy corners of our garden. He has a wide knowledge of suitable plants, soils and mulch and has given us very useful advice about garden lighting.

The team at Unique Outdoors are hard working, professional and very personable and are a delight to have onsite. The worksite is always left extremely tidy, neat and clean.

Unique Outdoors were recommended to me by a builder who was very impressed with the quality of work they had done at another of his builds. The job required fairly extensive retaining walls, stairs and paving, fencing, gardens, turf, and the decking and landscaping of a pool area on a development of a house and duplex.

I am extremely grateful for this recommendation. Thomas and his team were professional, knowledgeable and got the job done on time. Their standards are high and they went above and beyond what I could have asked for - this house now looks like a home.

The highest compliment I can offer is that I have already recommended Unique Outdoors to a number of my friends for jobs on their own homes and colleagues building townhouse developments. I wish Thomas every success for the future of Unique Outdoors and can only see this business thriving going forward.
